Dev Update #228

Once again, I'm one day late on the dev update. Sorry!

I managed to work a good three days out of this week. The good news is that the holidays are definitely over and I can now go back to my usual schedule.

I finished working on this month's bonuses for my higher-tier supporters. Working on these takes a lot of time but I like these renders because they allow me to try different things and produce a kind of image I wouldn't be able to do in the context of the game.

I progressed on the sets and finished building the environment for Segment 5. Most of it came easily but I couldn't find anything fitting my ideas for the bathroom. I tried building one myself through kitbashing and ended up editing a premade asset, retexturing it and repopulating it with different props. The result is a bit weird and I'm not 100% satisfied with it but that will have to do.

I'll start working on the environment for Segment 3 this Monday. I postponed it until now because I wasn't sure how to handle it. The assets I have don't fit my script and I'm not sure I'll be able to modify them to make them comply with my ideas. I will try. And if I fail, I will have to rewrite parts of my scene to fix this. I'd rather avoid that as I'm pretty happy with the script.

The quick sum up :

  • Day 6 Part 4 will contain 2 new scenes: scenes 26 and 27.
  • Day 6 Part 4 will contain 2 reworked scenes from Day 2, Scenes 1 and 10.
  • Day 2, Scene 1 and 10 have been rewritten, posed and rendered.
  • Day 6, Scene 26 has been written, posed and rendered. Scene 27 is written and cut for posing.
  • 9549 words of reworked content, and 12 430 words of new content so far.
  • 2007 lines of code so far.
  • 704 shots are planned, 468 are posed, and 467 are rendered.
  • I'm working on building sets for scene 27. 4 sets out of 5 are ready.

You can follow my progress on this Trello board.
